Wrapping gifts the eco friendly way

We celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and other special cases, giving gifts to friends and family. Everywhere you look in shops, you see the commercial packaging, tamper-resistant container with several layers of plastic and other packaging materials that are not environmentally friendly.

Is there anything you can do to minimize their impact? Yes! It can be kind to the environment, while creating something unique that would require an additional assessment for each gift recipient.

1st Contact the manufacturer for the packaging. Check the label and carton free numbers. Alternatively, look for companies on the Internet. Let them know that you are environmentally friendly consumer. Instead of preaching about the package, offer some constructive criticism.
2nd Do not buy gift boxes or gift bags. Yes, they are time savers, but there are things around the house or office can be used instead.
